Yes. Luma starts at complete beginner (A1): she greets you in Finnish, keeps most of the conversation in your own language at first and moves more of it into Finnish as you go. Coach suggestions stay on for beginners, so you always know what you could say next, and the first lessons cover greetings, numbers and everyday phrases.
It's different rather than impossible. The words are spelled exactly as they sound, there's no gender and no future tense — and then there are fifteen cases, so the word itself changes where English would add a small word. Nobody memorises that list into fluency. You get it by saying kahvia, mökille and Helsingissä often enough that the endings come out on their own.
As you talk, in the transcript. A slip like "juon kahvi" is highlighted with the fix beside it, "juon kahvia", and a Why? that explains it in a line. The conversation keeps going. Your slips then come back as quick drills, so the fix sticks.
Luma teaches standard Finnish, which is what you need for anything written, official or work-related — and she'll tell you when the spoken version differs, because at a kitchen table minä on is mä oon and that gap surprises everyone. Start from the standard, and puhekieli stops sounding like a different language within a few months of hearing it.
